Google is troubled with the proposed German law forbidding unknown email accounts and may consider stopping the German form of the Gmail benefit.
"The entire thought is an awful thought," a Google representative in Germany said Monday.
The bill will require ISPs and email specialist co-ops to gather and store client information that security work force can get to if important.
In a meeting with German business week by week magazine Wirtschaftswoche, Google's worldwide security attorney Peter Fleischer is cited as saying that if the German government passes the proposed Internet reconnaissance law into law, "if fundamental , we will deactivate Google Mail in Germany. "
Fleischer couldn't be come to and Google representative declined to remark on Fleischer's announcement that it was conceivable to incapacitate Gmail in Germany.
In the meeting, Fleischer asked the German government to lift its designs and cautioned that a German intend to screen email was silly, as clients could without much of a stretch change to e-Foreign mail.
